From Emma concerning today's episode:
Oh man ladies have I a good episode for you today. On this week’s episode I have Lora Jones who is 100% my new favorite person. We had the best conversation and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. Lora has been through some insane tragedy in her life and I was deeply impacted by her story. I won’t spoil it for you, so you’re just going to have to listen in. For anyone who has or is experiencing a tragic or difficult situation, Lora speaks straight to the hearts of those who aren't sure how to respond to God in the middle of a tragic event. She also speaks to the healing process and how it is not an overnight thing.
Lora discusses the questions she had for God, and why it's ok to ask those questions. She also shares why she chose to still have faith, even after the accident, as well as passages of Scripture that were particularly meaningful to her in the beginning of her grief journey. Perhaps most important of all, she shares her process of finding healing for her wounded heart.
This article shares the story of God singing to Lora Jones during the night an accident took the lives of her entire family. Throughout the article, Lora shares specific steps of encouragement to others who are also struggling with grief and pain.
From Chrystal concerning today's episode:
If anyone can say this, Lora can: You–your faith–can come back from anything. Do you believe that? Your life may be very different than you expected it to be, but as Lora shares in our chat: “Much of life is accepting the gifts that God has given you, even though you really wanted other ones.”
