Knowing God seemed natural to me as a child. My parents taught me about His love from the very beginning. Life was simple then, and it seemed like the future would be bright and easy. Adult life is never as easy as you think it will be, but never in my darkest nightmares would I have imagined what would happen in my world.
Whether in a large auditorium, a campground retreat, a small country church or at a coffee shop table; I would love the opportunity to share my story with you. I share it because I know that I’m not the only one who has faced life’s nightmares and I want you to find the hope, joy and courage that I have found in the Lord. I want to share not only the stories of the past, but the story of my present, together with the story of the Scriptures, so that others will also believe that there is a future and a hope.
Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come. Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, you who have done great things. Who, O God, is like you? Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again. Psalm 71:17-20
