I am thrilled to return to Grand Island, Nebraska!  My family lived there from 1993-2000. It holds a special place in my heart because our son, Jayden, was born in G.I. only three months after we moved to Nebraska.  I’ll never forget the day we moved in. Six months pregnant, I watched as others unloaded the moving van in the cold. It was 8 degrees! Snow stood in piles in the parking lot. And even if the natives always rolled their eyes at me, I truly loved the snow. I loved to watch it fall, covering the earth with sparkling white. I miss it!  There’s not much snow in Southwest Kansas where I live now.

For seven years, my husband, J. L., served as pastor of this church. Originally called Immanuel Baptist, the church later reorganized and chose the name Beacon of Hope Baptist Church. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends, and meeting new ones. Thank you Pastor Bill Rowland for inviting me to come and share the hope I found in our great God.
